Mummy Cups

Mummy Cups Kids Halloween Craft
What you need

  • Glue dots
  • Scissors
  • Orange and Black felt
  • Medium-sized craft googly eyes
  • White crepe paper
  • 3-ounce paper cups

After you make this fun Halloween craft, you can use these mummy cups as snack holders during a movie or to hand out to special trick-or-treaters.

Take the crepe paper and fold it into 1″-wide strips. Apply glue dots along the vertical crease of the paper cup to secure the paper. Start wrapping the crepe paper around the cup (having it crooked or bumpy gives it character). Press it in place on the glue dot and continue to do this until the entire cup is covered. Cut bows that are about 1/2″ tall and 1″ wide out of the felt pieces. (You can also print out this bow template .) Use the glue dots to give your “boy” cups bow ties and your “girl” cups a bow on their head. Attach 2 googly eyes to each cup with glue dots.

Paper Plate Ghost Halloween Craft-howto
This ghostly paper plate can be made to hang on your child’s bedroom door to scare the monsters away. Using the black marker, draw a ghost face on the paper plate. Trace your child’s hand and forearm twice on the white construction paper. Cut out and glue the arms to the back of the plate, so that one sticks out on each side. Cut 4-6 strips of crepe paper, about 2-ft long and glue or tape them to the back of the plate to hang down and be the “body” of the ghost. Cut a 12″ piece of yarn or string, make it into a loop, and tape the ends to the back of the top of the plate to use as a hanger.

Vampire Pops

What you need

  • Red cellophane
  • Black felt
  • Lollipops
  • Silver twist tie or ribbon
  • White address labels
  • Small googly eyes

Cut out a 6″x6″ piece of red cellophane. Cut a 2″ piece of felt, the same height as the sucker. Drape the cellophane over the top of the lollipop. Place it onto the felt piece and wrap a silver twist tie around the stick at the base of the sucker, securing the cellophane and felt. Cut little triangle fangs out of a white address label and stick them to the “head”. Glue small googly eyes above the fangs.

Spider Pops

What you need

  • Red, black or brown suckers
  • 4 pipe cleaners per sucker (same color as the suckers)
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue dots

Wrap 4 pipe cleaners in matching colors around the stick at the base of the sucker so that you have 8 spider legs coming from different directions. If you use small suckers, you can use 2 pipe cleaners instead of 4 – just cut the 2 pipe cleaners in half to get 8 legs. Glue 2 googly eyes onto each sucker and you have yourself a spider pop!

It’s fun to get your children involved in making these Halloween crafts for kids, but remember adult supervision is required.
